TURNAROUND TIME
Depends on current workload & what services you are looking to have done. Please contact me for current lead times, as it varies. I am only one person and don't have anyone helping me. If you are in a big hurry to get your item back you probably will want to look elsewhere. I take my time with each and every piece of equipment to make sure it is right.
SERVICE & REPAIR RATES
Some of the flat rate services I offer and prices are already listed in the online shop and the Services page. Radios sent in that need to be evaluated for repairs will be subject to a minimum $35 bench fee (Only if you choose not to have it repaired or serviced) if nothing is found wrong or it is found to be un-repairable, not worth repairing by either me or the customer. If we agree on repairing your radio then the bench fee is waived and an hourly shop rate will be charged (for repairs only). Generally speaking mods, upgrades and custom work are charged flat rates and repairs are charged by the hour with a 1 hour minimum. If you have a specific budget that you need to stay within please let me know ahead of time. All work is done in a smoke free environment.
RADIOS THAT I WORK ON
Cobra, Uniden, Galaxy, Ranger, RCI, Connex, General, Super Star, Mirage to name a few. Some very old radios I will not work on due to parts availability. No 23 channel or tube equipment.
PAYMENT
Once work is completed I will send you a Paypal invoice or if you don't want to use Paypal I can send you an invoice to use your credit card. Invoice must be paid within 24 hrs. No checks or money orders at this time. If you do not pay your bill your equipment becomes property of The Radio Garage. By sending your radio in to me you agree to this terms.
SHIPPING
It is the customers responsibility to make sure the radio or equipment arrives to me safely. I suggest a heavy cardboard box with room for multiple layers of bubble wrap. Customer pays shipping both ways. Please include a note with your package that has your contact info and return address. Also helps to list what services your looking to have done. Once equipment is ready to be shipped back a tracking number will be provided.
